Associate Relationship Manager - Structured Finance

Develops and manages relationships with clients in the assigned business segment and/or geographic areas. Presents a variety of product solutions to client needs. Provides responsive, quality service. Manages overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk and is responsible for profitable growth of the portfolio assigned. This may be accomplished through active calling efforts and referrals from existing customers, providing the CNB exemplary level of service, identifying and promoting solutions to customer needs, and maintaining an active calling program. It is expected that Relationship Managers will have or develop expertise in the various credit types offered by Structured Finance including leveraged lending, the asset management industry, syndicated credit and middle market cash flow lending.

Services commercial accounts whose lending needs are of low to moderate complexity, including syndicated loans in which CNB is a participant. This is the first level of relationship management. The focus of the position is on development and one or more of the following areas: maintains existing customers, new business development, credit judgment, and loan structuring. Works with management to monitor accounts to identify potential credit problems and assure proper loan documentation. In this first level of relationship management, it would be expected that the Relationship Manager had comparatively less names in their portfolio than more experienced Relationship Managers to make sure they have time for development and growth.

  • *Bachelor's degree
  • *Minimum 3 years of commercial credit experience
  • *Completion of Formal Credit Training such as credit "boot camp" at a financial institution.
  • Superior client relationship skills.
  • Good understanding of commercial credit policies and procedures.
  • Sound credit analysis and accounting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
