WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Assess the creditworthiness and risk profile of Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate or Municipal issuers by conducting thorough credit research on current holdings, as well as trade idea generation for future security selection. Report on trends in all sectors of the taxable/tax-exempt markets, and provide relative value recommendations accordingly. Communicate credit trends within sectors and individual issuers. For taxable analysts, particular attention is given to the analysis and understanding of issuers and on-going regulatory changes in the financial sector as the financial sector makes up a significant portion of Investment Grade Issuance and outstanding supply. Provide due diligence and risk assessment of assets to be held in fixed income mutual bond funds as well as separately managed accounts.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Corporate/Municipal Credit Analysis. Analyze the overall financial strength and repayment ability of individual fixed-income issuers (e.g., corporations, agencies, municipalities, etc.) and on the specific features/covenants of individual bonds.
- Research and communicate global, country and regional changes in the corporate, political and economic environment.
- Actively seek out relative value swaps or new issuer purchases which are expected provide better risk adjusted returns than current holdings.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience fixed income research
- Minimum 3 years investment experience
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities
Skills and Knowledge
- CFA/MBA – preferred or in progress
- Strong expertise in fundamental fixed income research
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience presenting to clients
Compensation
Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
