This position will be responsible for supporting Fixed Income operations and technology with a primary focus on technology coordination, system improvement and maintenance. This role will interface with our external and internal technology partners for day-to-day system updates, system communication, support and design. Responsibilities include ownership of Fixed Income technology processes, supporting analytics, trading systems and regular day-to-day operations, including ad hoc projects focusing on utilizing available technology and operational improvements. This position will process and understand the technology infrastructure and to help pioneer the next generation connectivity to electronic venues and design approaches to transactional automation. Secondary duties include backup trading and may participate in investment management strategies. The role may also participate in other areas such as marketing, data analysis and market research. Proficiency with statistical software and programming is an advantage for this role.

  • System support for the Fixed Income portfolio management and trading.
  • Cross collaboration with internal and external technology partners to ensure efficient communication between systems.
  • Interface with information technology to create efficiencies between groups and to facilitate the sharing of data.
  • Assist in utilizing systems to create repeatable, effective presentation formats.
  • Study, recommend and support trading connectivity through CNR systems and electronic trading venues and other platforms.
  • Support systems capabilities for portfolio attribution development.
  • Support portfolio management tools to facilitate the process of separate account management and mutual funds.
  • Other ad hoc technology based initiatives relating to the fixed income business and marketing efforts.
  • Leverage technology to enhance CNR's digital transformation initiatives.
  • Thought leadership and front-line role in FI process improvement integration with broader CNR systems and new technology.



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the financial markets
  • Minimum 1 year experience in operational role, trading support and/or technology initiatives

Skills and Knowledge

  • Preferred 7+ years’ experience in financial markets
  • Preferred 3+ years’ experience in operational role, trading support and/or technology initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and previous exposure to marketing
  • Exposure to project management, systems design, database management, back office settlement and fixed income trading and portfolio management
  • Utilization and/or exposure to programming, especially with statistical programming languages
  • R
  • ­ Python
  • SQL
  • Ability to format statistical data utilizing statistical programming languages
  • Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, etc…)
  • LaTex (Organizing R and Python analysis into reporting form)
  • Networking and system architecture
