As the Web Content Manager, you will work directly with the Manager of Content Marketing and Head of Copy to maintain and improve our website content to deliver an excellent client experience and increase traffic from prospects and potential colleagues.


  • Work with all marketing channels to update and maintain website content
  • Conceptualize, write and edit new and revised copy for City National's public-facing website,
  • Analyze and interpret website metrics on a monthly basis to inform strategic content updates on an ongoing basis
  • Act as the liaison between City National's internal stakeholders and the marketing agency that manages the website
    • Facilitate all requests for edits to the website, gather all details about the strategy and relay to the agency
    • Work with the agency to determine if the request aligns with the website strategy and what an alternative would be for the stakeholder if the request does not fit within the website strategy
    • Facilitate presentation of recommendations from the agency to the internal stakeholders
    • Collaborate with any additional stakeholders whose input is needed on the change
  • Proactively develop a formalized process for all internal stakeholders to follow when making website requests
  • Work with internal stakeholders and legal/compliance reviewers to update website content as needed/requested
  • Ensure metrics are reviewed once change is implemented to verify that there wasn't a negative impact due to the change
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key internal stakeholders and agency


  • *Bachelor's Degree
  • *Minimum 3 years' experience in writing for digital channels
  • *Minimum 3 years' experience with managing web site content
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in writing for digital channels, with financial services web content a specific focus
  • Must have professional samples demonstrating website content generation
Skills and Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Excellent account management and project management skills within a digital setting
  • Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and how the website relates to it
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Experience composing and editing within the AEM platform highly valued
  • Proficient in SEO and SEM best practices/implementation to optimize website content
