TRANSFORMATION LEAD


WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This role will be an integral part of strategic effort to transform and grow Residential Lending business of City National Bank into a Premier Mortgage Lender in North America. The candidate will have responsibility over design and delivery of a wide spectrum of large scale strategic initiatives with broad impact on division financial results, budget, client experience and CNB colleagues. The candidate will work closely with senior leaders within Residential Lending, business partners across the bank (incl. Entertainment Banking, Private Banking, Personal and Business Banking, US Wealth Management Financial Advisors, Technology, Digital Channels, Finance, Legal, Compliance) and external vendors.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Works closely with division and cross-functional leaders to develop strategies and initiatives, including mortgage industry research, competitive analysis, data analytics, financial analysis, and project planning
  • Develops business cases, including required financial analysis and pro forma modeling to support recommendations.
  • Develops frameworks for analyzing complex and ambiguous business problems
  • Develops presentations for the bank executive committee and the board
  • Manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives, including new product development, new channels development, new technology
  • Implements planning and support, including metric identification, baseline measurements, progress tracking and reporting for the residential lending division
  • Develops and presents recommendations on new business opportunities and new initiatives involving product design and pricing, new technology solutions, role design, process changes
  • Collaborates and manages relationships with business partners across the bank
  • Coordinates and manages relationships with 3rd party vendors


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with corporate strategy or management consulting or Financial Services
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with managing large, complex initiatives
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using deep data analytics to solve business problems


Skills and Knowledge

  • Master's degree in Business or Finance highly preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant strategy or management consulting experience from a major consulting firm
  • Solving ambiguous and complex problems requiring strong conceptual skills and independent thinking
  • Knowledge of banking industry and lending products and trends
  • High proficiency development of executive level presentation materials
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
