WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Technology & Innovation's Technology Organizational Change Management Lead will support the division's organizational development practices, including technology communications and organizational change management.The Lead role will be responsible for the development and execution of T&I's deliverables related to tech strategy, organizational transformation and tech communications.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of strategic and project communications, organizational change plans and driving engagement and adoption of key technology initiatives across the bank. The ideal candidate will be able to independently lead, collaborate and consult on internal change communication efforts for strategic programs, technology projects or other organizational initiatives. They will have the ability to translate complex, technical changes and craft business-friendly, human-centric messages.The ideal candidate will develop and maintain change management strategies, plans and key messages that support with the bank's goals and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and can translate complex, technical topics into human-centric, business-friendly content. They will be able to produce engaging and concise presentations for executives, senior management and other internal and external audiences. All deliverables produced by the candidate should align with overall guidance and framework as outlined by the Tech Strategy & Planning team, as well as other City National stakeholder teams (i.e. Marketing, Enterprise Project Management office, etc.).The candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter and innovative. They will have an affinity for individual ownership of outcomes, engagement with project management teams and be willing to drive continuous process improvement.The candidate will work closely with the Office of the CIO and the Senior Leadership Team, engage strategic business partners to collaborate and drive awareness around key strategic initiatives and follow set processes and guidelinesThis role is highly visible and demanding, requiring diligent organization, attention to detail and targeted, agile mindset. We are seeking candidates who can see deliverables through end to end, regardless of ownership.


Technology and Innovation Division
As a member of City National's Technology & Innovation group, you will drive, develop, and maintain solutions for clients and colleagues. This is an exciting time of technology advancement and innovation across the bank, particularly within our technology teams.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead T&I's deliverables related to organizational development, transformation and tech communications
  • Responsible for the strategic planning and assessment of organizational changes, including people, process and technology.
  • Lead T&I's deliverables related to organizational development, transformation and tech communications
  • Drive the strategy and execution of the organizational change plans and drive engagement and adoption of key technology initiatives across the bank.
  • Develop and execute internal communication change management strategies and plans for strategic programs, technology projects or other organizational initiatives.
  • Manage the appropriate change management processes, methodologies, tools, and templates, including impact analysis and change readiness assessments. Ensure changes across the organization are fully understood through strategic communications across a variety of mediums (e.g., email, Teams, SharePoint, corporate intranet, etc.)
  • Oversee and develop engaging presentations for executives, senior management and other internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate colleague engagement events across T&I (both virtually and in person, as needed).
  • Prepare presentation and speaking materials for executive and senior managers.
  • Manage content relevant to various communication channels and audiences, including department intranet site.
  • Plan strategic messaging and ensure alignment with appropriate function, division, or group. Work with applicable communication team partners for alignment on strategic messaging, where required.
  • Manage interdependencies with other projects and align strategies and messaging accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enterprise OCM practice guidelines.
  • Lead practice specific projects, councils and/or working groups as a resident subject matter expert.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of OCM strategy to executives, senior leadership and T&I managers.
  • Lead T&I’s new way of working through creative programs and initiatives to drive Talent and Workforce Transformation
  • All other appropriate duties as required.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in communications, copywriting, copyediting, marketing/PR or similar experience
  • Minimum of 3 years work in financial services and/or tech industry
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in organizational change management, strategic planning, project management, or similar experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in event planning, coordination


Skills and Knowledge

  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
  • Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint Online, Teams, PowerApps)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining intranet sites using SharePoint
  • PROSCI Certification (or other similar certification)
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, Visio preferred
  • Experience in developing presentations and reports for senior leadership, executive management
  • Understanding or willingness to learn technology and organizational strategy development and execution
  • Project management experience
  • Event Planning
Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
