Job Details:
This colleague will be responsible for maintaining security at assigned area. This colleague will also be responsible for observing, reporting and documenting security activities and issues that may impact or compromise the security of the Bank and its operations. Controls access to buildings and restricted areas including, but not limited to, identifying individuals, operating controls for doors, man traps and bay doors and programming access control badges and key fobs. Patrols buildings and grounds as directed and reports any unusual activities which may compromise security. Monitoring and answering calls during business hours to support the Security Systems Operations Center (SOC). During non-business hours, serves as the Security Systems Operations Center (SOC), monitoring the security systems of the bank and responding and escalating as appropriate. Performs other duties as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains security at assigned posts.
  • Controls access to buildings and restricted areas,programs access control badges and key fobs, answers calls for Corporate Security and responds appropriately by answering questions, taking messages and transferring calls to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Operates controls for doors, mantraps and bay doors.
  • Responds to emergencies, unusual situations and takes appropriate action.
  • Maintains security log instruments and report data bases.
  • Provides escorts to restricted areas or other locations.
  • Supports the Security Systems Operations Center (SOC) during non-business hours and as directed.
  • Responds to and addresses security and emergency issues as they arise.
  • Department main phone number is on all branch office doors and many of the bank's brochures.
  • Functions as a go to resource bank wide and first point of contact for alarms and emergencies.
  • Patrols buildings and grounds and reports any unusual activity which may compromise security, increase liability and present safety hazards including fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • *High School Diploma or GED required.
  • *Minimum one year physical protection and security experience required.
  • *Valid California Driver's License required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • License to carry an exposed firearm from the state of California strongly preferred.
  • Applies advanced skills to the position.
  • Adapts procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
  • Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity.
  • May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
  • Resolves most questions and problems, and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Provides input to performance appraisals for lower level colleagues.
  • Oversees uniformed security personnel primarily during non-business hours.
  • Strong working knowledge of alarm systems, digital video technology, access control technology and Security
  • Systems Operations Center (SOC) experience is helpful.
  • Interact with all levels of colleagues, vendors and law enforcement.
  • Maintain annual license renewals and certifications.
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time.
