Financial Intelligence Associate

The Financial Intelligence Associate is an entry level position and is responsible for providing compliance support in researching, processing and organizing case files related to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-money Laundering and Due Diligence investigations.
  • Creates new client cases in the case management systems
  • Creates paper and paperless files for higher risk clients using subscription websites and creating folders in shared drives
  • Supports analysts by processing and fulfilling requests for client transactions
  • Independently processes research requests on transactions at times requiring assistance from other areas of the bank
  • Communicates with staff and other internal departments.
  • Performs highly specialized and research duties requiring knowledge of complex procedures and/or regulatory requirements
  • Utilizes multiple Bank systems to complete duties requiring in-depth knowledge of system functionality
  • Assignments include activities related to CNB's Bank Secrecy Act compliance program, including anti-money laundering monitoring, due diligence investigations, , or other related duties as determined by the supervisor
  • Exercises judgment and creates client cases using in-house and vendor case management systems.
  • Assists in training new hires with bank systems.
  • Performs operational duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
  • May create Excel spreadsheets for analysts including pivot tables to support client reviews
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of systems, functions and procedures to identify and resolve quality issues to ensure overall team quality
  • May serve as a quality control for risk assessment codes or other duties
  • Responsible for archives of closed client files.
  • File client reviews and maintain file room.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies, name badges, colleague business cards and other colleague materials.
Job Skills & Knowledge
  • *High School Diploma required.
  • *Minimum 2 years of general office or accounting experience.
  • *Minimum 1 year experience with MS Office.
  • New accounts experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Bank personnel and customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Internet savvy and PC skills preferred.
