Job Details:
This position is responsible for providing legal support to the Compliance Support Department on transactional, corporate, legal and regulatory matters related to legal processing needs including responding to legal processing requests, subpoenas and other requests, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of compliance or banking operations experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience handling document formats of a legal nature such as contracts, briefs, summonses, complaints, and motions etc.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Bank Secrecy ACT (BSA), OFAC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Legal Processes and Subpoenas,general understanding of compliance related functions.
  • Great quality of work, quantity of work, job knowledge, customer service, problem solving, compliance and dependability.
  • Must be able to work accurately and effectively in a highly confidential, detail- and result-oriented environment.
  • Analytical thinking, accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, common sense, ability to work independently and initiative to take on new assignments and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft -- Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat).
  • Knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and internet.
