Job Details:
This position can be located in Beverly Hills or New York. 
Support fixed income data analytics with a primary focus on the design, creation and implementation of trading automation and quantitative portfolio management tools through the use of data science methodologies, programming applications and machine learning techniques. Primary responsibilities will also involve ad hoc projects focusing on valuation, utilizing advanced mathematics. The role will rely heavily on the ability to process and understand capital markets data and to develop trading strategy logic in the pursuit of active return, the minimization of trading costs and the maximization of trading efficiency, primarily through next generation connectivity to electronic venues and transactional automation. The role will also include data visualization and ongoing presentation requirements in addition to potential areas of core development and user interface build-out to create real-time analytical tools and trading systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the Fixed Income credit scoring methodology
  • Develop and support the Fixed Income portfolio management and trading automation process
  • Responsible for Fixed Income modeling and machine learning processing for portfolio construction and analytical market analysis
  • Identify opportunistic market dislocations through statistical, real-time analysis of market dynamics
  • Process programming output into repeatable, effective presentation formats
  • Create valuation methodologies across complex security structures.
  • Study, recommend and support trading connectivity through CNR systems and electronic trading venues and other platforms
  • Primary support for portfolio attribution development
  • Future state portfolio management tools to facilitate the process of separate account management and mutual funds
  • Other ad hoc quantitative and/or technology based initiatives relating to the fixed income business
  • Leverage technology to enhance CNR's digital transformation initiatives
  • Thought leadership and front-line role in FI process improvement integration with broader CNR systems and new technology.
Basic Qualifications
  • *Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Engineering
  • *Minimum 3 years' experience in the financial markets, preferably Fixed Income
  • *Strong technology skills

Job Skills and Knowledge

Prior Experience in any of the following:

  • Capital Markets Operational Support
  • Capital Markets Analytics/Quantitative Research
  • Fixed Income Trading/Trading Operations and/or portfolio management
  • Electronic Fixed Income Trading Platforms

Required Skills

  • Programming
  • Computer Science knowledge and experience
  • Strong Statistics Knowledge
  • Understanding of Fixed Income Trading & Portfolio Management

Desired Coding Background:

  • Proficiency in:
    • R
    • Python
    • SQL
  • Presentation Knowledge/Exposure:
    • LaTex (Organizing R and Python analysis into reporting form)
    • Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, etc...)
    • Shiny
  • Familiarity with:
    • Machine Learning/Deep Learning Modeling -- TensorFlow
    • Python -- SciKit
    • Jupyter Notebooks or similar Python IDEs

    • Software engineering
    • Networking and system architecture
